Business Development for Online Entertainment Infrastructure Startup

Here is the deal:

We are a small team creating a product to support the massively growing online entertainment industry including online multiplayer games, casual games, social network applications, audio & video downloads, new media and virtual worlds. We have a major partnership in place with nationwide reach that will put us in the marketplace in less than 3 months…with revenues. We have an awesome product that meets real customer needs and is poised to grow alongside the entire online entertainment market. Oh… and we have a solid group of customers signed up for our launch.

Here is where you step in:

The customers we have are great, but we need more. We need someone to focus full-time on turning prospective merchants in the online entertainment space into our customers. This job needs a scrappy go-getter than can reach out to the right merchants, explain our unique value proposition and convert them to our cause. You should already have strong connections in the online entertainment space…in particular with online games companies, that you can leverage to get in the door and promote our offering. You should love video games, and social network applications and generally be able to talk from the heart when pitching to customers. You must also love having major responsibility in a small company with the ability to make a massive impact. Work is based in SF with the option to work from home or remotely most of the time.

The payout:

We have done an amazing job building a company with a top notch product, paying customers and major partners in a very short time, all without external investment. We are on a path to raise outside financing soon after our market launch in approximately three months time and we are dedicated to building real value in our company prior to taking financing so we can achieve the highest possible valuation. In advance of said funding, we are offering significant equity compensation and the chance to shape an organization from the initial stages of its growth. We are looking for the right person to take the leadership role in our business development and help us build on our early successes to add to our company’s long-term value.
